PLANET
3Ps to Sustainability
Mabini Hall | 1:00-4:00 PM
Last September. 14, 2012 (Friday) the CBAA students (College of Business Administration and Accountancy) conducted a Grand Convention Seminar which focuses on the triple bottom line approach to sustainability – Planet, People and Profit. The Grand Convention Seminar has two session – Plenary Session / Morning Session (included all students taking up SWP subject) and Breakout Session (students will separate according to their courses). The Breakout Session of MK4A & MK4B happened at Mabini Hall.
The 1st speaker was Ms. Catherine Untalan, she was initiated, organized and launched programs of the Miss. Earth Foundation such as school tours, upcycled art making contests, seminars, community tours, etc., while the 2nd speaker was Atty. Jonas Leones, who has been working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in various technical, legal and managerial capabilities for more than 15 years.
The Grand Convention seminar help not only the organizers but as well as the participants to be aware that the PLANET is also the only heritage passed on from generation to generation. Thus, the PEOPLE's duty and responsibility is to conserve and protect the environment they live in by being aware of their activities and the issues they awaken in the environment.
It is not yet too late to do your part for the wonderful earth that you live in. By taking steps towards preserving and protecting the environment with all its beauty. Many small actions in your part can have a great effect on preserving the environment. Actions must also be taken to minimize the harmful impacts caused by ecological problems. No matter what you do, you may not be able to cover up this hole, but people can strive towards preventing the hole from getting larger.
